About you:

We are looking for three community-minded people who would like to be Conversation Facilitators within the Glenelg municipality (Victoria). You must be passionate about facilitating conversations with, and between the local community; and live, work, and/or play in the Glenelg Shire.

You will be a local connector, someone that takes an interest in what is happening in your community and enjoys meeting and speaking to new people.

This role is critical to the success of the Glenelg 2040 Community Plan, both in supporting conversation and participation in the process and in managing potential conflict or bias,

This role will support will help with the facilitation of Community Reference Groups, appointed within Casterton, Heywood and Portland. Helping to run meetings, steer conversation and encouraging active participation.

This role will also assist with:

• Facilitating meetings (preparing agenda, meeting run time)
• Recording and reporting on detailed feedback
• Approaching community members on the street or at community events
• Eliciting sometimes sensitive and personal information.
